How do you release the spare tire from a 2001 Pontiac Aztec?

My Aztec didnt come with a manual. I have had 2 flats tires now, and have not been able to release the spare tire. There doesnt seem to be a tire release in it. I dont want to be stranded again without knowing that I can get the spare tire off. Thank you, for any real answers I can get.

    I don’t think the Aztec comes with a spare.
