I have an owners manual but it doesn’t tell. And I’ve already have a guy who’s going to put a used tire on for 30 bucks. And thats about all I can afford.

Check the owners manual if you have it. Or if you have AAA or similar call them to change.

Get your spare kit out I believe it is in the rear on one of the sides in the trunk area . put the sticks together then insert in the hole on the bumper by the license plate and turn a little till it fits in the locking mechanism that raises and lowers the spare. Turn L?R? continually to let the spare drop down far enough to unlatch the chain.

You use the jack handle and jack rods under the carpet in the back then insert into a hole in the rear of the truck just to the left of the center door latch rear. Shine a Flashlight into the hole to help you line up the T then crank down the tire Hopefully it too is not flat because that tire never gets filled up to pressure. Your BF is not dumb just ignorant! then have BF loosen the wheel lug nuts before jacking up the side of the truck. blocking the wheels with wood or bricks and setting the parking brake is a must. Good Luck

Under the cargo box behind the seat is a folding rod with a hook or “T” on 1 end and the jack. In or near the rear license plate is a hole in the bumper, insert the hook here and it should hit a tube and slip in. Turn counter-clockwise and the tire comes on on a windlass like a bucket in a well, keep turning to release more cable and drag the tire out.
Replace in reverse order.
What’s wrong with your tire, a nail can be plugged and a valve stem can be replaced cheaper than $30, A slash on the side is not repairable
